National Tree Planting Day

Mr. Peter Lengapiani, MBS, CEO, Uwezo Fund joined the rest of the country in celebrating National Tree Planting Day, also known as Mazingira Day.

CEO  led the Uwezo Fund team in the tree planting exercise at  Nairobi held at  Arboretum which is in alignment with the Presidential directive of 15b trees by 2032 and the Fund's Performance 2024/25 targets.

Participants  engaged in a clean-up exercise aimed at promoting proper waste management, with a focus on the zero-waste initiative through activities that emphasized the principles of reuse and recycling.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Environment in collaboration with other stakeholders.
